Travis Scott, Migos, Dave Matthews, SZA Set for Pharrell's Inaugural Something in the Water Fest

March 4, 2019

Virginia Beach native Pharrell Williams announced Monday that he's putting on his very own music festival in his hometown next month. The first-ever Something in the Water fest will feature sets by famous Virginians Missy Elliott and Dave Matthews Band. "Virginia has been home to some of the most gifted artists, athletes and scientists to ever live," Pharrell said in a statement. And it makes sense--the people of Virginia are one-of-a-kind: uniquely gritty, bold, and brilliant." Also on the bill are Migos, SZA, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Jhene Aiko, Jaden Smith, Mac Demarco, Anderson .Paak, Diplo, Pharrell's protege Maggie Rogers, and (sure, why not?) spiritual guru Deepak Chopra. There will even be a "pop-up church service karaoke featuring trap music." The Something in the Water festival will take place April 26-28 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Tickets go on sale March 8.
