Working Remotely? How to Suspend Your Parking in Rochester!

March 24, 2020
Categories:

If you are one of the many working remotely around Rochester due to COVID-19, and don't plan to use your City of Rochester monthly parking permit during the month of April, see information below from the Bureau of Parking:

Employer Handles Your Parking Account:

  • Action only needs to be taken by the person who pays the invoice. If your employer handles your parking account, you do not need to do anything.

Monthly Parking:

  • If you are not using your gate pass during the month of April, you can disregard the April invoice. This will automatically suspend your account but when you are ready to return to work, you can log into your account and pay the invoice for the month you will be returning.

Monthly Parking on Auto-Pay:

  • If your account is set up to automatically charge your credit card monthly, you must log into your ParkingSoft account and delete your card on file. If you don't do that before 12:01am (ET) on March 28th, your account will be charged with April parking fees. When ready to return back to work, you must re-enter your card on file and sign up for automatic payments again. The first payment back must be made manually in order to resume the monthly auto-payment.

The Bureau of Parking has limited staff working remotely at this time. If you have any questions, please reach out to them at garage.parking@cityofrochester.gov and they will get back to you as quick as possible.

Please note the COVID-19 situation is changing daily which may result in additional changes for the Bureau of Parking. They will do their best to communicate any changes if they arise and appreciate your patience.
