If you're having trouble remembering what day it is or if you just can't concentrate lately, you're not alone. Experts say the coronavirus pandemic is affecting people's cognitive health, according to CNN. "It is a perfect storm between changes in environment, loss of social anchors and increases in cognitive stress," said Elissa Epel, a professor of psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. "And then on top of that, most of us are not getting the quality sleep that we used to." Loss of routine, more multitasking at home, high stress levels, and changes in sleep patterns can also be disruptive to our memory, attention, ability concentrate, and other cognitive abilities. To stay on track, experts recommend establishing a routine, exercising, taking frequent breaks, eating healthy, and limiting news intake.
