Walmart to Require Customers to Wear Masks

July 16, 2020

America's largest retailer, Walmart, will start requiring all customers to wear masks this coming Monday. In a statement, Walmart said that 65 percent of its 5,000-plus stores nationwide--a figure that includes Sam's Club outlets--are in areas where there is already some sort of government mask mandate in place. The New York Times reports that Walmart joins Starbucks and Best Buy on a growing list of corporations that are now requiring facial coverings to stop the spread of coronavirus.
