VIDEO: Watch Corey James from #TeamPXY Take the Polar Plunge

February 10, 2019

Thousands of people gathered at Ontario Beach Park this Sunday for the 19th Annual Rochester Polar Plunge, the biggest in both size and money raised in all of New York State. Once again #TeamPXY hosted the event, but this year was a little different. Earlier this week the Rochester Polar Plunge founder and organizer Sal Gerbino challenged Corey James of #TeamPXY on the air. He said if 98PXY could raise $1,000 for Special Olympics New York not only would Corey have to take the plunge, but he'd have to go ALL the way under. Full submersion.  Even as a three time veteran plunger this was something he'd never done before, but he accepted. Corey found out on stage at the plunge that indeed the $1,000 goal had been exceeded. And he was a man of his word…

Here's the highlight of the plunge...

THANK YOU to everyone who not only donated to Corey taking the plunge, but everyone who donated towards the Rochester Polar Plunge. Overall more than $250,000 was raised to support Special Olympics NY!
