Trump Threatens "SNL" With Federal Investigation for Mocking Him in a Rerun

March 18, 2019

Donald Trump's mad as hell and he's not going to take it anymore! In the wee hours of early Sunday, the president took to (where else?) Twitter to once again mouth off at Saturday Night Live for daring to mock him--and this time, threaten to sic the feds on the show. "It’s truly incredible that shows like Saturday Night Live, not funny/no talent, can spend all of their time knocking the same person (me), over and over, without so much of a mention of 'the other side.' Like an advertisement without consequences. Same with late night shows," Trump tweeted. "Should Federal Election Commission and/or FCC look into this? There must be collusion with the Democrats and, of course, Russia! Such one-sided media coverage, most of it fake news." Trump's tirade seemed especially strange, given that SNL aired a rerun this past weekend. It was the episode Matt Damon hosted back in December, which featured Alec Baldwin impersonating Trump in a spoof of It's a Wonderful Life.
