Tiffany Haddish gets emotional while talking about her mom in a new trailer for Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman. “When I was 8, about to be 9, she had a car accident and her head went through a windshield,” Haddish tells host David Letterman. “By the grace of God, she lived. But she had to learn how to walk, talk, eat, everything all over again.” The comedian goes on to explain that the accident resulted in her mom’s personality changing, noting that she “became very violent and very verbally abusive.” “I used to be begging my mom if I could go live with my grandma,” an emotional Haddish reveals. “And my mom would yell, ‘She’s not your momma, I’m your momma!’” The new season of No Introduction begins streaming this Friday, May 31.
