Season 18 of The Voice returned Monday night, with another round of blind auditions for coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas to put together their teams. The star audition of the night came from 23-year-old Thunderstorm Artis, who got the only four-chair turn with his mesmerizing performance of The Beatles' "Blackbird." "Congratulations on being ridiculously talented," Shelton said, while Clarkson gushed, saying he was "someone who could win this competition." But Artis chose to go with Team Legend, who told the youngster, "I really believe in you." Samantha Howell got Clarkson, Shelton and Jonas to turn with her country-tinged version of REO Speedwagon's "Take It On The Run," with Nick telling her, "You are phenomenal. I agree. It's exciting to have a country singer. But I don't think you're limited to that." However Jonas was blocked and Howell went to Team Kelly. 16-year-old Allegra Miles kicked off the night with her version of Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody," and got Jonas and Clarkson to turn, eventually choosing Team Nick "because we have the same tastes in artists." Shelton and Legend battled it out for smooth-singing Cammwes after his version of The Weeknd's "Earned It." Even though Shelton said he'd fall on his sword for him, the youngster picked Team Legend "because he was so heavily influenced" by him.
