On Monday night, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said on FOX News that grandparents like him are willing to risk getting killed by the coronavirus if it means saving the economy for the sake of their grandkids. "No one reached out to me, as a senior citizen, and said, 'Are you willing to take a chance on your survival in exchange for keeping the America that all America loves for your children and grandchildren?'" the 69-year-old Republican and grandfather of six told Tucker Carlson. "And if that's the exchange, I'm all in." He added, "Let's get back to work, let's get back to living, let's be smart about it. And those of us who are 70-plus, we'll take care of ourselves."
