Carli Lloyd may become the NFL's first-ever female player, as FOX Sports reports that the soccer star has received offers from at least two pro franchises to kick for their teams. According to Lloyd's trainer, James Galanis, she was "approached by multiple NFL teams" after video of her successfully kicking a 55-yard field goal at a Philadelphia Eagles training session went viral earlier this month. Galanis claims one of those teams was ready to sign her for a preseason game. He added on Monday, “Today, she got another call from another NFL team. The one that called today, I don’t want to say who it is, was willing to put her on the roster for their next (game).” Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Lloyd says, “I am having discussions with my husband and James about the reality of playing in the NFL. They both feel that I could do it and should consider it. So I’m seriously considering it, as it’s a challenge (and) I would probably enjoy it.”
