On this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, the sketch comedy series poked fun at both Joe Biden’s recent harassment scandal and the impending end of Game of Thrones. The episode opened with a sketch about the former Vice President, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis, meeting with a consultant played by Kate McKinnon and two undecided female voters to evaluate if his behavior crosses the line for a presidential run in 2020. Sudeikis-as-Biden immediately made the consultant uncomfortable by greeting her with a hug, dancing to Lou Rawls and talking about tickling her palms while shaking her hand. He also awkwardly cradled one of the voters' faces. Later, host Kit Harrington starred in a fake HBO commercial, in which the network imagined a future after Game of Thrones is over by announcing a lineup saturated with Thrones-related prequels and spinoffs. Shows in the lineup included Castle Black, a moody, Riverdale-style drama about the forbidden romance between Jon Snow (Harington) and a female white walker, and an animated series in the style of MTV’s Daria, called Arya. Sara Bareilles also served as the musical guest.
