R. Kelly is trying to leave jail before his trials begin and is claiming his health is suffering, according to TMZ. The singer is petitioning the court for release, citing hand numbness, anxiety and an untreated hernia in newly filed legal documents. Steve Greenberg, one of Kelly's attorneys, claims that the singer's jail environment is "stifling" and that the singer's not getting adequate medical attention behind bars. The legal documents also insist that Kelly is not a flight risk and will not tamper with witnesses if he is released. The judge has yet to rule on the request.
