March 6, 2019

In a preview for a CBS This Morning interview scheduled to air Wednesday, R. Kelly breaks down crying and denies the 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse against him. When Gayle King presses him on his checkered past involving underage girls, he responds that it isn't relevant. "Absolutely no, It’s not," he declares. "For one, I beat my case. When you beat something you beat it. You can’t double jeopardy me like that it’s not fair." Kelly also slams reports that he has held young women captive. "I don’t need to. Why would I?" he says. "How stupid would it be for R. Kelly, with all I’ve been through, in my way, way, past to hold somebody. Guys, use your common sense, forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me, hate me if you want, love me if you want, but just use your common sense, how stupid would it be?" He continues, "Quit playing, I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f**king life.”
