Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Welcome Their 1st Child, a Boy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first child on Monday, about an hour after it was reported that the Duchess of Sussex was in labor with their first child. "We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019," the @SussexRoyal Instagram account announced alongside an image reading "It's a boy!" The Instagram account added, "Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz." The baby, whose name has yet to be revealed, will be seventh in line to the British throne behind Prince Charles, Prince William and his three children, and Prince Harry. Unlike Prince William and wife Kate Middleton, Harry and Markle are not expected to pose for photos with their newborn immediately after exiting the London hospital where the baby boy was born.
