Police Rush to R. Kelly's Apartment to Intervene a "Suicide Pact"

March 13, 2019

Chicago police rushed to R. Kelly's condo in Trump Tower on Tuesday evening over concerns that his girlfriends were attempting to carry out a "suicide pact." It was later proven to be a false alarm. "Police received a call from an out of state anonymous caller stating that people at the location were going to carry out a suicide pact. Police on scene conducting a wellness check and it is not a bonafide incident," the Chicago Police Department said in a statement. Meanwhile, Kelly's lawyer tells People, "It is offensive that anyone gives this any credibility." The incident comes a week after Kelly's girlfriends Azriel Clary and Jocelyn Savage defended him on CBS This Morning.
