Make America Grate Again: Artist Building Wall Made of Cheese at Mexican Border

March 28, 2019

Cosimo Cavallaro tells The Los Angeles Times that he thinks President Trump's proposed Mexican border wall is "absurd," so the Southern California artist has started building an equally ludicrous wall next to Mexico's border with Tecate, California--one constructed entirely from bricks of cojita cheese. Why cheese? Well, for one, Cavallaro thinks we're living in "cheesy times." But he also really likes using cheese for his art installations, having previously drenched his hotel room in mozzarella, as well as outfitting the supermodel Twiggy in the dairy product. So far, Cavallaro's wall is five feet tall and 30 feet long.
