Lori Loughlin's Daughter Admitted That Her Parents Forced Her to Go to College

March 13, 2019

If you've been wondering why Lori Loughlin would plunk down six figures to scam her kids into a less-than-prestigious school like the University of Southern California, The Blast has some answers. The outlet notes that just last week, Olivia Jade--a prolific YouTube vlogger and social media maven--admitted that her parents basically forced her to attend college. "Mostly because my parents really wanted me to go," Jade replies when asked on YouTube's Zach Sang Show about attending USC. Jade added that neither of her parents are college grads and that one of her favorite things about school is showing off her "college life" online. Jade likewise tweeted last month, "YouTube will always be my #1 passion. I promise I’d way rather be filming 24/7 than sitting in six hours of classes straight, but an education is also super important to me." (Sure it is!) She also went viral last August when she said about matriculating at USC, “I don’t know how much of school I’m gonna attend. But I’m gonna go in and talk to my deans and everyone and hope that I can try and balance it all. But I do want the experience of, like, game days, partying…I don’t really care about school, as you guys all know." Loughlin was indicted Tuesday after she and her husband allegedly paid $500,000 for their two daughters to be "recruited" by the USC crew team, even though neither of them participate in crew.
