Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli are among 11 parents now facing additional federal charges for their roles in the college admissions scandal. The 55-year-old Loughlin and 56-year-old Giannulli were charged Tuesday with conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, which comes on top of their original charges of money laundering and wire fraud. The AP says the new charge indicates they "paid off employees of the University of Southern California to facilitate their children’s admission," while Page Six says the feds' latest legal move "appears to indicate prosecutors’ attempts to heap on stiffer penalties for defendants choosing to continue to fight their cases instead of copping to plea deals, as several others already have."
