On Wednesday, Lady Gaga's mom revealed how she learned to cope with her daughter's depression. The Los Angeles Times reports that Cynthia Germanotta appeared on CBS This Morning for a Stop the Stigma event. “As a parent I wasn’t prepared to really address this,” she said. "What I learned from our daughter is to listen and validate her feelings.” Germanotta and her superstar daughter started the Born This Way foundation, which aims to educate people about emotional and mental wellness. Former Today show host Jane Pauley and Queer Eye culture expert Karamo Brown were also on hand for the event, which marks the first time the show has ever had a live studio audience.
