Ja Rule Wants to Do Another Music Fest, Dubs Fyre "The Most Iconic Festival That Never Was"

February 15, 2019

Ja Rule isn't letting the spectacular failure of Fyre Festival--"the most iconic festival that never was," as he characterized it to TMZ--get him down. In fact, he's plotting to create a new event, the  ICONNic music festival, around his new, artist-geared app, ICONN. Of course, the rise and fall of the Fyre Festival is still top of mind--and although he acknowledged that the dueling  documentaries are popular, he (unsurprisingly) hasn't watched them. "I lived it, man," he said, while adding that he definitely can't laugh about the experience now. “It’s not funny to me man, it’s heartbreaking,” Ja Rule explained. “It was something that I really, really wanted to be special and amazing. And it just didn’t turn out that way.”
