Hilary Duff took to social media Wednesday to open up about the unexpected halting of the Lizzie McGuire revival. As Vulture reports, Duff posted to her Instagram Stories in the wake of news that Disney+'s Love, Simon TV show is being moved to Hulu due to "adult themes." In her Story, Duff circled the headline of an article that mentioned how Love, Simon wasn't "family-friendly" enough for Disney+ and wrote, "Sounds familiar.." Disney+'s Lizzie McGuire revival was halted earlier this year a few months into filming and creator/showrunner Terri Minsky unexpectedly left. The streaming service put out a statement saying, “We need to move in a different creative direction and put a new lens on the series." According to Vulture, Duff was incensed by Minsky's firing, which took place while Duff was on her honeymoon in Mozambique. Meanwhile on Wednesday, Minsky told Variety in an interview that she would love to see Lizzie McGuire moved to Hulu.
