On Monday, after learning that a jury found him guilty of rape and sexual assault, Harvey Weinstein was shocked, according to Variety. “The words he said over and over again to me is, ‘I’m innocent, I’m innocent, I’m innocent. How could this happen in America?'” Weinstein’s attorney Arthur Aidala said. Donna Rotunno, Weinstein's lead attorney, also revealed that Weinstein is having vision problems. “He is currently taking shots in his eyes so he does not go blind,” Rotunno said. Weinstein has also been seen with a walker, supposedly due to back surgery. His lawyers are hoping Weinstein will be taken to Rikers Island prison, which has medical facilities. As for the charges he was just convicted of, Weinstein is looking at a sentence of up to 29 years. He also faces additional charges in California.
