On Monday in Frankfurt, Germany, a state court ruled that a hangover is an illness, finding that the term encompasses "even a slight or temporary disruption of the body’s normal condition or normal activity." As the AP notes, the court issued its ruling in a verdict against the distributor of an "anti-hangover drink." By marketing the drink this way, the distributor violated a ban on attributing to food products the ability to prevent, treat or heal illnesses--including hangovers.
