Soon, restaurant customers might be able to re-enact scenes from Get Smart with their very own "Cone of Silence." A French designer has designed a lampshade-like plastic pod for restaurants hoping to open again. Christophe Gernigon, calls his device the Plex’Eat. He said that similar designs looked like prison visiting rooms. “I wanted to make it more glamorous, more pretty,” he said. Gernigon has already received interested from multiple countries. France is re-opening many businesses and some kids are back in school, but restaurants and bars remain closed. They also present unique problems; wearing a mask isn't popular and some eateries can't afford to space out tables. One restaurant owner in Paris plans to place an order for Plex'Eats.“Will people like it? I can’t say but I want to believe that it can add something because I find it fun,” he said.
