Faye Dunaway isn't headed to Broadway in the play Tea at Five after allegedly staging a backstage assault. The New York Post reports that the play's July 10 performance in Boston was canceled after the 78-year-old Oscar winner "slapped and threw things at crew members who were trying to put on her wig." Sources say she was also "verbally abusing" the crew, who were "fearful for their safety." In a statement, Tea at Five producers state that they have "terminated their relationship” with Dunaway, who portrayed Katharine Hepburn in the show. Tea at Five is next headed to London, where Dunaway's part will be recast.
