UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that indoor concerts will be allowed to resume again on August 1, Pitchfork reports, which is part of phase 4 in England's reopening plan from the coronavirus pandemic. Social distancing will be enforced at all indoor performances, which will involve reduced capacity, deep cleaning requirements and staggered sets. Certain venues, including the London Symphony Orchestra at St. Luke’s London, will be used to test the process and to help develop future guidelines. The current reopening strategy applies only to England, and not the rest of the UK. The government also recently announced a $1.96 billion stimulus package to help theaters, galleries, museums, and cultural venues who've been impacted.
