Carrie Underwood says she decided to book only female artists for her Cry Pretty 360 tour because she felt it was her responsibility. “It’s like, ‘Well, nobody is going to do it for us,’” Underwood tells USA Today. “We have to do it for ourselves and we have to lift each other up and we have to support each other.” Underwood goes on to explain that, the more she thought about it, “it just felt right.” “You’ve got to go with your gut,” she adds. “Everybody is so going to be on time and get along. This is probably going to be the chillest tour we’ve ever been on.” Underwood’s tour kicked off on Wednesday and features openers Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.
