BTS Announce English-Language Song to Drop in August, Ahead of New Album

July 27, 2020

On Sunday, BTS confirmed that they're releasing an English-language song ahead of their new album this fall, according to Forbes. The members announced the news on a livestream to fans through Vlive, a Korean streaming app. "Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans," the band said. While the band's music typically includes English phrases and words, this is the first time all seven members will fully perform in English. A previous English-language collab with Steve Aoki, "Waste It on Me," didn't feature all the members. "This is a new challenge for us as well," they said. The song will be released on digital platforms on August 21; no release date has been set for the upcoming album.
