If anyone wondered why former Disney star Bella Thorne decided to join the adult-oriented OnlyFans website, their questions were answered this week, when it was revealed that she raked in over $1 million in just under 24 hours on the site. The New York Post reports that Thorne is the first content creator on the platform to earn that much money in 24 hours. Thorne has reportedly been active on the site, which generally caters to adult film stars, responding to every DM and “getting to know her fans better and on a personal level.” Thorne is charging $20 per month to fans, and has been sharing personal content and new photos-and-videos of herself. The Los Angeles Times reports that the 22-year-old said she's already made $2 million since she joined the site last Wednesday. She also claims that she's using the site for research for a new film she's making with indie film director Sean Baker. “It’s a feature we are researching as I’m living it currently,” Thorne said. “What are the ins and outs? What does a platform like this do to its users? What’s the connective material between your life and your life inside the world of OnlyFans? ... How can it change your life for the worse and the better? How far are you willing to go, and how far do you WANT to go? You can be me, or this talented girl from Montana, and OnlyFans could change your life — if you want it to, of course.” So far her page features suggestive content like bikini pics, but nothing explicit.
