Amazon says it's removed listings for Auschwitz-themed novelty items--including a Christmas ornament--after the Auschwitz Museum slammed the merchandise on Twitter. "Selling 'Christmas ornaments' with images of Auschwitz does not seem appropriate," the museum tweeted over the weekend. "We ask @amazon to remove the items of those suppliers." By Sunday, Amazon had seemingly removed the ornaments, as well as an Auschwitz-themed bottle opener. After the museum later noted that a "Massacre Auschwitcz Birkenau Jewish Death" mouse pad was still for sale on the platform, that listing was reportedly taken down as well. The New York Times reports that an Amazon rep said in a statement, "All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action, including potential removal of their account."
