On Saturday, two Buffalo, New York cops were charged with felony assault after a video showing an old man being pushed to the ground surfaced, according to The New York Times. At a Thursday protest, Martin Gugino, 75, approached police, was shoved by an officer, and staggered backwards before falling. It's immediately clear that Gugino's head is bleeding in a video captured by a local radio station; Gugino was ultimately hospitalized. “The incident in Buffalo is wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful,” said New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. "Police officers must enforce — not abuse — the law.”  Over 100 local police, firefighters and supporters protested the arrests. The Buffalo News reports that all 57 members of Buffalo's Riot Response team resigned from the unit in support of the two officers. They are still employed by the police department.
