Investigators have come to some conclusions in the tragic accident involving a college basketball coach

February 27, 2019

Syracuse men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim was not speeding when he hit and killed a 51-year-old man walking on the highway. Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick tells the Associated Press that unless major new evidence surfaces, the case will be considered closed. The tragic accident happened after Boeheim swerved to avoid a car that had spun out on some ice and was obstructing several lanes of traffic. As he did so, his SUV hit Jorge Jimenez, a passenger in the disabled car who was moving to avoid traffic.
