Seven women, including Mandy Moore, have accused singer-songwriter Ryan Adams of emotional abuse and sexual misconduct. In a New York Times article published Wednesday, Moore, who was married to Adams for seven years, claims he was "psychologically abusive" and told her she wasn't a real artist. "His controlling behavior essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time--my entire mid-to-late twenties,” she says. Another woman, named Ava, claims Adams had "sexual conversations" with her when she was just a teen. Adams has since responded on Twitter. "I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly," he wrote. However, he went on to call the article "upsettingly inaccurate" and insisted, "I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage."
