A Florida man could face fraud charges after he received a whopping $980,000 tax refund based on a false tax return, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Tampa, Florida. Ramon Christopher Blanchett reportedly described himself as a "freelancer" and said he was paid $17,098, with $1,000,000 of federal income tax withheld. The IRS has since seized $919,251.94 from three of Blanchett's accounts, as well as a 2016 Lexus RC 350 that he bought with the money. The IRS has not elaborated further, citing privacy concerns.
