Here's Why You Should Always Take a Copy of Your Restaurant Receipt

If you need one good reason why you should take a copy of your restaurant receipt, Lifehacker's got you covered. On reddit, the website excerpted an anecdote from a former restaurant worker who said his "dishonest friend" would "change every tip that wasn't 20 percent to at least that" and "never got caught." As Lifehacker notes, "By keeping your copy of the receipt, at least you can easily refute why it wouldn't make sense to pay $10 for a $4 coffee." The website adds that if you don't want to walk around with a pile of paper receipts in your wallet, you can take photos of thm or simply tip in cash and write "cash" on the tip line.
