It's been two years since Macy's closed up shop at Marketplace Mall in Henrietta, but according to News10 NBC wheels are in motion that could bring a new tenant to the abandoned space. While exactly who it might be is currently a big secret due to a strict non-disclosure agreement, Wilmorite the company that owns the mall, says it would be "transformative" for not only the mall but the area overall. An indication of just how transformative it may be is the fact Wilmorite wants the county IDA called "Imagine Monroe" to use its powers to buy the rights to the parking space around places like JCPenney, Old Navy and Dick's. Whatever this prospective client may be, it would be big. Let the speculation begin. Only time will tell.
