Does your kid like to collect latex gloves, bottle caps, rocks, or empty toilet-paper rolls? If so, should you worry about your child becoming a hoarder? Nope, says Lifehacker, which notes that there's a difference between collecting and hoarding. Citing the Child Mind Institute, kids tend to take pride in their collections of random things and want to show them off, while hoarders "often feel embarrassed or uncomfortable letting others see or touch their things." But if your child's collection starts to get out of control, it's okay to set some limits, like restricting a child to one rock per day versus bringing home a whole pile.
