HBO launched their new streaming service HBO Max on Wednesday, which comes with a $15 a month price tag, CNET reports. The new service has all of the traditional HBO shows, as well as a bunch of other content. The new service is offering big movie franchises from DC, the Harry Potter films, Studio Ghibli as well as classic movies from Criterion Collection. It also offers TV franchises like Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Rick and Morty, Doctor Who and new episodes of Adventure Time. If you already pay for HBO, the question of whether you get a free upgrade to HBO Max has no simple answer. Some people who already have a regular HBO subscription or HBO Now will get Max for no extra cost -- but that depends on if your provider has a deal with HBO or not. HBO is also not available on every streaming device, including Roku and Amazon Fire TV. It also doesn't yet offer 4K resolution.
