More "Good News" Stories from the Coronavirus Outbreak

Coronavirus Good News

Here are a few more good news stories from the outbreak...

1.  The United States' GDP jumped 33.1% in the third quarter this year, which is an all-time record.  It's slightly better than the 32% experts expected.  Almost half of the 22 million jobs lost in March and April are still unfilled, but it's definitely good news.

2.  An 18-year-old kid in Kentucky named Teo Jordan recently got a job bagging groceries.  And the other day, he saw an older guy who didn't have enough money to buy everything in his cart.  So he reached into his own pocket, and gave him 35 bucks to cover the rest.

3.  This might be the only demographic NOT drinking more this year.  A new survey found 62% of college students have been drinking less during the pandemic.  Meanwhile, 40% are cooking more, and 19% are getting more exercise.

4.  Classic toys have made a comeback during the pandemic.  Sales of things like Barbie Dolls, Hot Wheels, and Legos are way up.  And Tonka trucks have jumped 250% from last year.  Partly because they remind us of simpler times.  And because parents are sick of kids staring at screens all day.
