A Kentucky woman was caught on video with a hole cut in the middle of her protective mask, which she said makes it “easier to breathe.” The New York Daily News reports that in the video, a clerk at SJ Food Mart in Lexington, Kentucky, observes a woman coming into the store with a hole in the middle of her mask. “Where did you get that mask from?” he asks. “Well, since we have to wear them and it makes it hard to breathe, this makes it a lot easier to breathe,” she replies. “Cutting it?" the clerk asks. "Yeah, I’ll do that too, thanks for the advice," he says, and the woman leaves the store. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says masks should cover both the nose and mouth completely. Over 5,130 people in Kentucky have contracted the coronavirus after this weekend.
