Numbers can be deceiving, especially online. That's what an influencer named Arii learned recently, when she revealed in a since-deleted Instagram post that despite having 2 million followers, she couldn't manage to sell 36 T-shirts. According to Cosmopolitan, the influencer explained that she needed to sell those shirts to start a clothing line, but because she failed to do so, "the company won't be able to send orders to people who actually bought s**t." She said that despite "getting such good feedback," no one had "kept their word" either by buying her shirts or helping her out. "The people who I thought would support me really didn't nor did they share any of my posts (all I asked for)," she explained. Internet users are wondering whether the "influencer bubble" is bursting, if this is a clever ploy to make sales, or if the girl just has a ton of fake followers.
