Tampa, Florida, resident Vayne Myers is a 26-year-old Starbucks barista who was abused by his mother's boyfriend when he was younger. Hence, he suffers from anxiety. But then he bought a snow-white duck named Primadonna as an emotional-support animal, which The New York Times reports "has worked wonders for his state of mind." “I take him in the shower, in the bath and outside,” Myers says, adding that the duck wears a diaper inside the house. “He will follow me wherever I go.” But his landlord wasn't too amused with the situation, and threatened to evict both man and duck--even after Myers provided letters from two therapists who vouched for how crucial the duck was to his mental well-being. Myers ultimately found a lawyer, who helped convince the landlord to let both him and Primadonna stay.
