If you want to cross the street in one Danish city, make sure you see the green Viking take his steps before you take yours. The AP reports that the city of Aarhus, Denmark, has added Viking figures into the lights on their crossing signals to celebrate the history of the country's second oldest city. The Vikings appear in the lights themselves, and are holding an axe and a shield. A city council member in charge of technical matters unveiled 17 of the new lights Monday, and together they form a circle around the city's downtown area, which was founded by real Vikings in the 8th century.
