This past weekend, quarantined graduates of Tokyo's Business Breakthrough University were able to walk down the aisle to receive their diplomas--with a little help from a fleet of robots. To wit, Reuters reports that the robots were outfitted in caps and gowns, with the faces of the students controlling them appearing on tablets affixed to their "heads." “I think this is truly a novel experience to receive a certificate in a public area while I am in a private space,” Kazuki Tamura said via his robot avatar when receiving his master’s degree diploma.
