Arizona Cardinals' New Coach to Give Players Cellphone Breaks During Team Meetings

March 27, 2019

On Tuesday, new Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters that he would grant his players cellphone breaks every 20 to 30 minutes during team meetings. "They're itching to get to those things," said Kingsbury, who implemented a similar policy while coaching college football at Texas Tech. "You start to see kind of hands twitching and legs shaking, and you know they need to get that social-media fix, so we'll let them hop over there and then get back in the meeting and refocus."
