After Call With Trump, Mark Cuban Says Sports Will Return "Initially Without Fans"

April 17, 2020

On Wednesday, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban participated in a phone call with President Trump and other sports officials to try and figure out when and how live sports will return amid the COVID-19 pandemic. During a radio interview afterwards, Cuban said, "It was pretty unanimous that as soon as it's safe, we want to be able to go play games, initially without fans." As Yardbarker notes, this is consistent with a recent opinion offered by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Trump's go-to guy on the virus crisis.
