Bebe Rexha Curses Out Crowd at Pre-Grammys Concert

February 8, 2019

Pop star Bebe Rexha performed her crossover country hit "Meant to Be" at a pre-Grammys showcase for rising newcomers in New York on Thursday. And when the crowd--chockablock with music industry types--didn't sing along, she didn't mince words while voicing her displeasure. After telling her band to stop performing mid-song, she yelled, “This song was No. 1 for 50 f**king weeks. I work too f**king hard for this s**t, OK?...I’m from Staten Island, New York, and I’m standing on this stage right here. You’re going to sing the f**king words if you know the f**king song.” She then looked over at her mom and said, “My mom is like, ‘please calm down.’ I love you mom. I’m calming down.” As the AP notes, when Rexha and her band launched into the song again, it "included more crowd participation."
